Conservatory of Music

The Carlaw Conservatory of Music offers a complete spectrum of musical instruction, from beginner to expert.

Classes are offered in guitar, piano, saxophone or virtually any instrument. We also provide instruction in MIDI and hard-disc recording, and can assist you in the production of demo tapes and CDs.

With individually designed class curricula, professionally equipped studios, and teachers who provide the personal attention and encouragement students need to reach their full potential, learning music has never been easier—or more fun.

While we want, and expect, our students to make steady progress in their musical studies, we also understand that every musical journey is uniquely personal and must be tailored to deliver meaningful results.

Achieving these goals may be as easy as encouraging students to play their own music, or as difficult as instilling the confidence needed to open new doors and explore wider musical vistas.

Facilities

We all experience enough stress at our schools and places of work. At Carlaw, we believe that learning music should be both comfortable and fun. To this end, we strive to make our studios and teaching spaces as welcoming and comfortable as possible.

Studio One

Studio One is our primary teaching location for Guitar, Bass, Piano, Drums, and Band Performance.

Studio Two

Studio Two provides a warm and inviting environment to explore Piano, Sax, Flute, Voice. It's fully equipped multi-track recording capability delivers a full musical context and realtime feedback to illustrate and enhance the learning process.

The Main Stage

The Main Stage is a fully equipped, professional stage installation that allows students to experience the joy and power of stage presentation. An intimate performance venue, the Main Stage includes seating for a live audience, and a state of the art audio engineering booth that reproduces and enhances stage performances, and captures performance recordings with a fidelity matched only by professional studio installations.

Professional Audio

Carlaw's Main Stage is powered by a full-finction, professional engineering and mixing studio provided by the Cognovation Corporation. A limited number of special classes are provided to teach interested students the techniques and technologies of audio mixing and engineering.

Original Music

In addition to being world-class instructors, the founders of Carlaw Music are professional musicians with a lifetime of performing and recording experience. Enjoy a sample of their original work, taken from their albums.

Summer Semester

Carlaw uses a semester system that runs in parallel with the public school system so that lessons need not be missed during peak family holiday and vacation times.

Start Dates

Unlike the public school system, classes can be started at any time, and can be scheduled to meet individual needs.
